Moon, King of the Herbs

Osadhaya is definitely one of the Dharma Chameleon’s favorite chants. I mean, just look at that maniacal moon lording over all of those jarred herbs. He’s definitely the king.

Ok, though, in all seriousness the Candranamaskrtya Mantrah is from the Taittriya Samhita. This chant invokes the moon as the king of medicinal herbs (legalize!) because it is believed that the moon nourishes all of the healing plants. You can think of this calming melodic chant when you’re channeling reefer madness health improvements. Just add herbs!
